Austin leads The NIC’s fund formation activities and investor relationships across the platform. Austin also plays an active role in identifying and evaluating strategic investment opportunities through the venture capital fund and special opportunities initiatives.

Austin is an investor, entrepreneur, and national leader on reindustrialization and a leading voice for rebuilding America's industrial strength.

He was the founding CEO and is currently Chairman of the New American Industrial Alliance and a co-founder of the Reindustrialize Summit. He is also a Venture Partner at Tamarack Global, a venture fund investing across AI, energy, aerospace, and national security.

Previously, Austin was Head of U.S. Trading at the hedge fund Marshall Wace, and co-founder of the advanced manufacturing company Atomic Industries.
