


Gregory Bernstein
Chairman and CEO
Gregory leads The NIC as Chairman and CEO, overseeing the overall direction of the firm and responsible for leadership across its investment, development, and operational activities. Gregory works closely with key stakeholders, investors, and industry partners to guide the long-term growth and positioning of the platform.
Gregory has been a venture capitalist at both the EQT Group and Acequia Capital. At both firms, he designed and executed the investment strategy for new industrials and reindustrialization in the national interest, transforming legacy markets and building new industrial frameworks. He has served as board director for many of his investments and remains affiliated with EQT Ventures as an executive-in-residence. Gregory is also a co-founder of Reindustrialize, the leading summit convening the brightest and most motivated minds engaged in U.S. technology and manufacturing.
Gregory started his career as a U.S. Coast Guard officer and served as both a counternarcotics mission commander in Latin America and a commanding officer afloat. He holds a BSc from the United States Coast Guard Academy and an MSc from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he was a Wallenberg International Fellow.
